Meet Dr. Kassie Haitz, MD

Dr. Kassie Haitz, MD

Dr. Kassie Haitz is a board-certified dermatologist who has been serving the Rochester community for more than 10 years. She provides comprehensive dermatologic care, with expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her clinical interests include acne, psoriasis and other inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer detection and treatment, pediatric dermatology, and cosmetic laser procedures.

Originally from Batavia, New York, Dr. Haitz graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at SUNY Geneseo, where she earned her degree in biology. She received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and went on to complete a research fellowship in dermatology in Houston, Texas. She then trained in dermatology at the prestigious Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Haitz is an accomplished researcher. She has participated in numerous clinical trials for psoriasis and other skin diseases and has published extensively in respected dermatology journals as well as leading dermatology textbooks.

Her approach to patient care emphasizes prevention, education, and natural results. She believes cosmetic treatments should enhance a patient’s own features while keeping skin healthy and youthful-looking.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Haitz leads an active life with her husband, who is also a physician, and their three children. She enjoys yoga, pilates, golf, tennis, hiking, skiing, and travel.
