Patient Resources

One of our primary goals for all patients who choose our Rochester dermatology practice is ensuring a positive experience. We start even before your first visit by providing you with information and other resources you can review and complete at home. On this page, you can find information about financing the cost of cosmetic dermatology procedures not covered by health insurance and links to documents you can download, complete, and bring to your appointment.

We value your time and hope that providing these resources can enhance your experience at Dermatology Associates of Rochester. If you haven’t scheduled a consultation or appointment yet, you can request a consultation using the online form or give us a call at (585) 272-0700, and our staff will assist you in scheduling an appointment.

Payments Accepted

There are 3 general ways to pay for services at our practice.

Insurance

We accept nearly all insurance plans, with the exception of primary Medicaid. Dermatology Associates of Rochester is an “in-network” provider group for Accountable Health Partnership (AHP) which serves the University of Rochester Medical Center (UR Medicine, Strong Memorial Hospital, Golisano Children’s Hospital).

Financing

We offer interest-free financing for qualified patients through CareCredit, which specializes in healthcare financing and offers various payment plans designed to suit different customers and their circumstances. You can apply for CareCredit financing online.

Self-Pay Medical Patients

Medical patients paying with check, cash, or credit card are required to make payments in advance of service. The fees listed below cover the cost of meeting with a provider. Additional charges may exist based on the need for procedures, lab testing, etc. The provider will review the potential for additional charges with you prior to performing any diagnostics or procedures.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

In order to best serve our patients who may have to wait longer to be seen as a result of a time slot being occupied and then going unused – we are implementing a “Cancellation/No-Show” Policy. Depending on the appointment type, a minimum of 24 to 48 hours notice must be given for cancellation or rescheduling request. This will allow us to offer the opening to patients who may have urgent issues and/or are on a wait-list. The following policy will apply to office visits, specialized procedure appointments and surgical procedures. In the event of an actual emergency where prior notice is not a possibility, we will review on a case-by-case basis.

Office Visit Appointments

Patients who fail to show for their scheduled appointments or fail to notify us of the need to cancel/reschedule 24 hours before the time of the scheduled appointment, may be issued a $50 “Cancellation Fee”. This fee is not covered by your insurance and it will be your responsibility to pay this fee before your next visit.

Procedure/Cosmetic Appointments

Patients who fail to show for their scheduled appointments or fail to notify us of the need to cancel/reschedule 48 hours before the time of the scheduled appointment, may be issued a $100 “Cancellation Fee” and forfeit a refund of any deposit. This fee is not covered by your insurance and it will be your responsibility to pay this fee before your next visit.

Surgical Appointments

Patients who fail to show for their scheduled appointments or fail to notify us of the need to cancel/reschedule 48 hours before the time of your scheduled appointment, may be issued a $100 “Cancellation Fee”. This fee is not covered by your insurance and it will be your responsibility to pay this fee before your next visit.
