What Is Recovery Like After BOTOX?

Refrain from rubbing or touching the treated area for a day. After that, apply sunscreen to your skin when going outdoors, as the treated areas can be sensitive. You should see the results of your BOTOX treatment after about a week.

Is BOTOX better than Dysport and DAXXIFY?

Like BOTOX, Dysport and DAXXIFY are neuromodulators that relax the muscles, easing the repetitive facial movements that cause wrinkles and fine lines to form. All are effective; however, they are each formulated slightly differently. For example, Dysport diffuses more easily than BOTOX when injected, so it’s often a good choice for larger treatment areas like the forehead. BOTOX and Dysport last about 3 to 4 months, while DAXXIFY can last up to 6 months or longer. Many patients first try BOTOX to “feel out” their results and later switch to a longer-lasting treatment like DAXXIFY.
