After a long summer spent having fun in the sun, your skin may have some damage. Sun spots and wrinkles can form when you’re exposed to UV light without proper protection. While the best offense is a good defense—wear your sunscreen! There’s plenty you can do to reverse existing damage. Laser skin resurfacing at our Rochester, NY, practice is one easy way to rejuvenate your skin.
Not all lasers are equal, though. Depending on your needs, you may be better suited to one type of laser than another. Here are 3 of the most popular laser resurfacing options we offer at our practice.
Halo™ Pro
Halo is the perfect laser to help you restore your natural glow. The hybrid laser works by vaporizing aging skin tissue and promoting the body’s healing response to replace old, damaged cells with new ones. You will see improvements in both overall skin tone, skin reflexivity, and glow. Freckles, poor texture, and even old scars will begin to gradually fade over time.
Halo works best in a series of sessions, but you can decide how many treatments you’d like. Your clinician will analyze your target areas and recommend a customized beauty routine.
Forever Young BBL™
Forever Young BBL is slightly different than other light-based rejuvenation procedures. Beyond just repairing damaged skin, it can also make changes to skin cells at the molecular level. The treatment delivers light energy that penetrates and heats the skin’s upper and lower layers. As the heat is absorbed, collagen production is stimulated within the cells, and the body naturally creates smoother, more vibrant skin.
The number of treatments required will depend on your skin type and desired look. The results are long-lasting and can treat many issues—brown spots, red spots, discoloration—all without the need for surgery.
VbeamⓇ Perfecta
Red, splotchy skin can make you look older than you feel, and Vbeam Perfecta is here to help. This pulsed-dye laser produces gentle bursts of light that fade sun spots, rosacea, and spider veins. Each burst of light destroys the blood vessels of vascular lesions or melanin in pigmented areas. As your body reabsorbs the destroyed vessels or melanin, your skin is left clean and clear.
The Vbeam laser has been in use for many years and is a safe, trusted procedure. Treatment typically takes around 2 to 5 sessions, reversing years of extensive sun damage.
If you were sunburnt this summer and now have discoloration, don’t worry—we offer treatments that reduce the damage. Our skincare experts can find the right laser for your needs so you can enjoy rejuvenated, healthy skin.

I am annoyed with the appearance of my neck especially both sides not so much front and back. I have fine wrinkles when I tilt my head. Being a stubborn man in his 40’s that was never religious about sunscreen has taken its toll. Can laser therapy help my situation, or is it something I just need to accept? Thanks
